This 4 star Grand Hotel Saltsjobaden has a rich history, beginning with a splendid inauguration hosted by King Oscar II in 1893. Ka Wallenburg was the visionary who turned his dream into reality after a trip to Monte Carlo. Saltsjobaden was to become the perfect recreational site for a modern society, an oasis to return to in the summer, winter, spring or autumn. The railway from Stockholm was also built at the that time to provide hardworking Stockholm residents with a fast route to the seaside and the fresh salty air of Saltsjobaden.
Rooms are decorated in an old-fashioned, classic style, and fully equipped for a comfortable stay. It is a peaceful oasis for the corporate or leisure traveller who does not want to stay in the city centre. Should you wish to arrive at the hotel on your own boat (in the summer), the hotel offers mooring places at their own jetty.
